I'm in the middle of getting sick, so my apologies if this sounds wonky. :)
But yes! I'm in contact with several of them (and that's part of why I decided to start this group, actually). It seems to be a really common thing, too, since there is little out there in the way of a road map or authority. If you want to find a career path, there are guidance counsellors out there; but if one wants to know what type of plural system is closest to their situation... it's a lot harder. There are a lot of FAQs, some of them contradictory in various places, and others in the spirit of the thing, with 10 answers per question. :D There's apparently a fair amount of "ur doin it rong" too, but I haven't seen as much of it myself.
That LivingPlural group on Tumblr is one of the better resources I've found. They have some great FAQs and you can read through pages and pages of people's questions and soul searching to get ideas what others are thinking and pondering. Astraea's FAQ is the most comprehensive I've found, but I am not as quick to point people there because it does have a fair amount of discussion about people talking about plurality as a disorder. (I think MPD/DID are a real thing, but literally -- it's when a plural system goes wrong, communication doesn't work, etc. Except we don't have the right help for that in this culture still.)
Any big life change (and seeing your life through the lens of plurality is certainly a big change :) can cause one to feel tipsy and grab on to what's known, so I can kinda understand that. To some degree though, one just has to experience it as it goes. I think that these kinds of things will work out over time. Either this particular way of being is the right one, and they would've found it eventually even going the easier way, or it's not, and they'll feel better knowing that too.
