We were reading Dyscalculia, which is an interesting web-zine by the Desired Constellation about plurality, and discovered the notion of system-mate specific jewellery. The idea is that each person can have a piece of jewellery that only they wear, and it helps the stay focused on their presence in front, as well as helping others who know the system to identify who is in front.
I bought myself a ring yesterday at a market, and today, Fuzzy and I performed a small ritual to try to give it a little extra staying power. I cannot always stay in front reliably, so it would be nice if I could simply wear a ring and solve that problem. :)
The ritual feels a little personal to post online, but I will say that it involved a thematic altar cloth, an item from each of us, a candle, a singing bowl, and statements of trust and responsibility. I suppose I will update later about how well it worked!
